Our founder merged his love for film and architecture into Shimahara Visual, fashioning himself as a true multi-hyphenate writer-director-producer documentary filmmaker and proud Angeleno.
Brett is our Los Angeles Studio Director, and is well suited for the role having been born and raised here. Brett’s west coast inspired passions extend to surfing, motocross racing, mountain biking, and skateboarding.

Brian leads our New York studio, bringing the discerning vision of a documentary filmmaker to inspire our clients with new thinking and lead our multifaceted team there. A native Spanish speaker, his love for brutalist architecture informs a streamlined approach to creative simplicity.
Elizabeth leads a dynamic team of artists and designers to produce award-winning visualization and brands for our clients. This native Angeleno has steered her own path through worlds of art, photography, film, architecture, and even Latin ballroom dancing.
Shannon helms our newest studio location in Boston, developing lasting relationships with our clients in that region while leading a growing team of creative artists and brand experts. He sees her career as the fusion of an architectural education with a love for the magic of storytelling.
Mark leads our design team in producing brand campaigns that are authentic and impactful. A trained architect and classical pianist, he applies a holistic approach in crafting brand expressions and executing campaign assets with excellence.
Chase provides technical, pipeline, and creative direction for our projects. This West LA native showed an early interest in computer science and VFX, then turned his passion for modern architecture into a career that balances art and technology.
